Capolavoro assoluto del gotico giapponese tratto da un’antica fiaba buddista. Due donne, una giovane e la madre (il marito sta combattendo in guerra), sopravvivono derubando i cadaveri degli incauti che si avventurano nella loro palude e rivendendone le armature. L’arrivo di un uomo, compagno d’armi del marito e recante la notizia della sua morte, sconvolge il crudele e organizzato mondo delle due donne.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mike Cooper (Reading, Uk) classe 1942, \u00e8 musicista, compositore, cantante, autore, improvvisatore, chitarrista slide, \u201ccollagiste\u201d del suono, artista radiofonico, architetto del suono e performer per film muti. Sperimentatore raffinato, agli inizi degli anni Settanta ha rilasciato dischi fondamentali per il movimento avant blues e rimasterizzati nel 2014. Negli anni Novanta ha virato verso la musica hawaiana, mischiandola con le sonorit\u00e0 polinesiane e il blues, con la collaborazione di musicisti come Arthur Lyman e Viv Dogan Corringham, vere e proprie istituzioni della musica dell\u2019arcipelago. Residente a Roma, colleziona camicie hawaiane. Il 5 ottobre 2018 \u00e8 uscito il suo nuovo album Tropical Gothic. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Mike Cooper. For the past 50 years he has been an international artistic explorer constantly pushing the boundaries. He plays lap steel guitar and sings, he is an improviser and composer, song-maker, a visual and installation artist; film and video maker and radio arts producer.
\nInitially a folk-blues guitarist he is as responsible as anyone else \u2014 and more so than many \u2014 for ushering in the acoustic blues boom in the U.K. in the mid \u201960s.
\nHe has, arguably, stretched the possibilities of that genre even more than his better known contemporaries Davy Graham, Bert Jansch, John Renbourne etc. by pursuing it into the more avant-garde musical areas occupied by guitar innovators such as Elliott Sharp, Keith Rowe, Fred Frith and Marc Ribot, with an eclectic mix of the many styles he has practiced over the years. Ranging freely through free improvisation, his own idiosyncratic original songs, electro-acoustic music, exotica, traditional country blues, folk, pop songs, and \u2018sonic gestural\u2019 playing utilising open tunings, extended guitar techniques and electronics.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
