Sono giovanissime e vengono tutte dalla provincia industriale toscana, cos\u00ec diversa dalle famose colline del Chianti: le acciaierie di Piombino, il porto di Livorno e le fabbriche Piaggio di Pontedera. \u00c8 la provincia rossa delle case del popolo e del PCI. Uscire da questa provincia per loro \u00e8 un sogno, ma siamo nel 1968 e tutto \u00e8 possibile! Ricevono un\u2019offerta che non si pu\u00f2 rifiutare, una tourn\u00e9e in Estremo Oriente: Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore. Armate di strumenti musicali e voglia di cantare, partono sognando il successo ma si ritrovano in guerra, e la guerra \u00e8 quella vera del Vietnam. Dopo cinquant\u2019anni Le Stars raccontano la loro avventura tra soldati americani, basi sperdute nella giungla e musica soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

NOTE DI REGIA. \u00c8 il 1968 e mentre in Italia i giovani occupano le scuole, rinnegano l\u2019autorit\u00e0 di una famiglia patriarcale, rivoluzionano i costumi governati dalla Chiesa e decidono di essere soggetti politici, cinque ragazzine della provincia toscana imparano il soul insieme ai soldati afroamericani in Vietnam. Ancora un altro \u201968, tra i tanti, a distanza di cinquant\u2019anni. La sfida \u00e8 quella di raccontare la Storia con lo sguardo delle protagoniste poco pi\u00f9 che adolescenti, riaprendo un capitolo tra i pi\u00f9 conflittuali del Novecento con la memoria e la leggerezza di una esperienza incredibile che ha segnato per sempre la loro vita.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They are very young and come from all over the industrial districts of Tuscany, so different from the famous hills of Chianti: the steelworks of Piombino, the port of Livorno and the Piaggio factories in Pontedera. It is the red province of \u201chouses of the people\u201d and the Italian Communist Party. Getting away from this region is a dream for them, but this is 1968 and everything is possible! They receive an offer they can\u2019t turn down, a tour in the Far East: Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore. Armed with musical instruments and a desire to sing, they set off hoping for success but find themselves in the middle of a war, and the war is the real one of Vietnam. Fifty years later Le Stars tell the story of their adventure amongst American soldiers, remote jungle bases and soul music.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

DIRECTOR STATEMENT. It is 1968 and while in Italy young people are occupying the schools, rejecting the authority of a patriarchal family, rebelling against customs shaped by the Church and deciding to become actors on the political stage, five young women of the Tuscan provinces learn to play and sing soul alongside Afro-American soldiers in Vietnam. Yet another \u201968, among the many, at a distance of fifty years. The challenge has been to tell the story, and recount the history, through the eyes of the protagonists, barely out of their teens, reopening one of the most turbulent chapters of the 20th century from the perspective of the memories and the heedlessness of an incredible experience that left an indelible mark on their lives.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
