In concorso al Sundance Film Festival. Primo lungometraggio dell’artista americano Doug Aitken, Leone d’oro della Biennale di Venezia. Il film, che risente della formazione cinetica del<\/span> video d’arte e della velocit\u00e0 del videclip, racconta il viaggio da New York a San Francisco su un treno concepito come una “scultura cinetica di luce”. In 24 giorni, sono state toccate oltre 4.000 miglia viaggiando in treno attraverso gli Stati Uniti coinvolgendo un gruppo di artisti, musicisti e performer tra cui Patti Smith e Beck. Aitken non si limita pi\u00f9 al solo mondo all\u2019arte, ma spazia verso letteratura, musica, cibo e cinema. <\/span><\/p>\n

Doug Aitken, artista americano pluripremiato, Leone d\u2019oro della Biennale di Venezia nel 1999 e il  Nam June Paik Art Center Prize, \u00e8 conosciuto nel mondo per le sue straordinarie opere di luci, suoni e immagini. Esplora ogni medium, dalle installazioni al cinema, al video d’arte. I suoi lavori sono stati presentati nei musei e nelle gallerie pi\u00f9 prestigiose del mondo tra cui Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Modern Art, the Vienna Secession, the Serpentine Gallery, e il Centre Georges Pompidou. <\/span><\/p>\n

A train travelling from one coast of North America to the other is home to a revolving community of artists, performers and musicians, including Patti Smith and Beck. They collaborate and share their visions in a series of short happenings. First release at the Sundance Film Festival. 
\n<\/span>Doug Aitken is an American artist and filmmaker. Defying definitions of genre, he explores every medium, from film and installations to architectural interventions. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, in such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Modern Art, the Vienna Secession, the Serpentine Gallery in London and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. He participated in the both the 1997 and 2000 Whitney Biennials, and earned the International Prize at the Venice Biennale in 1999 for the installation \u201celectric earth\u201d. Aitken received the 2012 Nam June Paik Art Center Prize.<\/span><\/p>\n
