ITA <\/span>(scroll for eng). Unico film italiano nel Concorso Internazionale Documentari alla 46\u00b0 Edizione del Giffoni Film Festival. Basileus, ambientato nella scuola media Federico Fellini del quartiere San Basilio a Roma, racconta i percorsi di formazione di un gruppo di adolescenti e di cosa significhi essere insegnanti in contesti non semplici come quelli delle scuole di periferia. Un viaggio nella vita di classe che ci mostra un mondo incredibilmente denso da scoprire, trasudante della vitalit\u00e0 tipica dell’adolescenza, di speranze, sogni, ma anche carico di difficolt\u00e0, di paure e d’incertezza verso il futuro. <\/span><\/p>\n

Note di regia: gli adolescenti nel complicato percorso della scuola media sono lo specchio pi\u00f9 puro e disarmante della nostra societ\u00e0. Partendo da un esigenza di realismo totale ho cercato di raccontare questo mondo senza ideologie precostituite, per cui la strada dell\u2019osservazione mi \u00e8 sembrata l\u2019unica modalit\u00e0 espressiva possibile, per cui mi sono messo da parte per garantire all’immagine la massima trasparenza. <\/span>
\nDentro quella classe c\u2019\u00e8 tutta la nostra societ\u00e0. \u00c8 un film su di noi. \u00c8 uno specchio, un modo per vederci nelle storie di questi ragazzi e dei loro educatori.<\/span><\/p>\n

ENG.The documentary, set in the Federico Fellini media school in the San Basilio district in Rome, tells about the training courses for a group of teenagers and what it means to be teachers in uncommon contexts such as those in the suburban schools. <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A journey into class life through choral voices and faces that show us an incredibly dense world to discover, exuding the vitality of teenagers, hopes, dreams, but also burdened with difficulties, fears and uncertainty towards the future.In this microcosm, the strong and peculiar relation between teachers and pupils emerges, all different in their identities and personalities: the first engaged in educating, inventing methods, tools, actions, within a didactic scheme based not only on formal models of teaching but, above all, deeply intertwined with neighborhood life situations and real and individual experiences experienced by students; the latter inclined to represent themselves in a scene that is not fiction but a mosaic of fragments of raw reality, true life, rebellion, resistance, expressed with the language of the word and body, often instinctive and grammatically incorrect but always incredibly vital.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
