Per il film “La Caduta della Casa Usher\u201d, il grande teorico del cinema e autore originalissimo Jean Epstein si avvalse come aiuto regista di un allora ventottenne Luis Bu\u00f1uel, realizzando, pi\u00f9 che una trasposizione fedele dell\u2019omonimo racconto di Edgar A. Poe, un affresco composito di atmosfere e temi cari allo scrittore statunitense, attingendo anche ad altre opere quali Ligeia e Il Ritratto Ovale. Ne risulta un\u2019opera unica nel suo genere, con effetti simili a quelli della corrente dell\u2019Espressionismo, sebbene ottenuti con mezzi e presupposti teorici del tutto diversi. La sonorizzazione di Le Grand Lunaire ne sottolinea il senso di sospensione e dilatazione temporale, il fatalismo claustrofobico, le punte sconcertanti di umorismo macabro e paradossale.<\/span><\/p>\n

BIO:<\/span><\/p>\n

Il duo elettroacustico Le Grand Lunaire si muove tra scrittura e improvvisazione. Nella stratificazione del materiale trovano spazio suggestioni cameristiche, alterazione timbrica degli strumenti, e cellule ritmiche di matrice rock\/jazz.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paolo Di Cioccio \u00e8 oboista, compositore e didatta (Conservatorio O. Respighi di Latina). Ha suonato in festival italiani e internazionali (Orchestra Sinfonica di Matanzas, Filarmonica Nacional de Cuba, Orchestra Sinfonica della Rai di Roma tra le altre). Ha tenuto masterclass sul suo strumento in Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba. Di rilievo il duo Armonia con il chitarrista Bruno Battisti D\u2019Amario. Ha inciso concerti barocchi per oboe riarrangiando le parti orchestrali per sintetizzatori analogici di sua propriet\u00e0. Sue composizioni originali sono edite da Edipan, RaiTrade, BMG Ricordi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adriano Lanzi, chitarrista, compositore, improvvisatore e performer elettronico, ha pubblicato per etichette europee (Still, Klangbad). E\u2019 fondatore del duo post-classico MU con la violoncellista Federica Vecchio e del trio K-Mundi con il dj e sound artist \u00d8kapi e il percussionista Marco Ariano. In ambito world music ha collaborato a lungo con il griot Siriman Kanout\u00e8, partecipando con lui a dirette radiofoniche nazionali e alla realizzazione di musica per il teatro.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>For the film “The Fall of the House of Usher”, the great film theorist and highly original author Jean Epstein used the twenty-eight year old Luis Bu\u00f1uel as assistant director, realizing, more than a faithful transposition of the homonymous story by Edgar A. Poe, a composite fresco of atmospheres and themes dear to the American writer, also drawing on other works such as Ligeia and The Oval Portrait, resulting in a unique work of its kind, with effects similar to those of the current of Expressionism, although obtained with means and entirely different theoretical assumptions.The soundtrack by Le Grand Lunaire underlines the sense of suspension and time dilation, the claustrophobic fatalism, the disconcerting points of macabre and paradoxical humor.

\nThe electro-acoustic duo Le Grand Lunaire moves between writing and improvisation. In the stratification of the material there are chamber suggestions, timbric alteration of the instruments, and rock\/jazz matrix rhythmic cells.<\/span><\/p>\n
