Come pu\u00f2 la filosofia della mindfulness trasformare la vita dei pi\u00f9 giovani? Sequenze poetiche e di insegnanti intenti a condurre pratiche, dalla meditazione ai laboratori di hip hop, a bambini provenienti da diversa estrazione sociale in contesti come le scuole pubbliche americane, quelle private e i centri di detenzione minorile.<\/span><\/p>\n

May I Be Happy ci ricorda dell\u2019esistenza di una naturale capacit\u00e0 di benessere e di felicit\u00e0, pi\u00f9 spiccata nei bambini.<\/span><\/p>\n

La regista stessa, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Walter ha scoperto la mindfulness e ha deciso di formarsi per accompagnare i bambini attraverso un percorso di consapevolezza e di resilienza, come cura e come via d\u2019uscita dalla sofferenza, dai traumi, dall’aggressivit\u00e0 e dalla violenza.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Through poetic cinematography and sequences of teachers leading sensitive or boisterous practices to kids from different backgrounds, the film brings awareness to the benefits of mindfulness as a way out of violence and suffering, and as an attainable solution for younger generations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200bCovering varying approaches to mindfulness by a range of San Francisco Bay Area programs, May I Be Happy reminds us of children’s natural capacity for wellbeing, resilience and happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n

This full-length feature documentary captures the very real challenges American children face, whether in elite private schools, public schools, on the streets, or in juvenile detention centers. Hearing the frustration of dedicated educators who find ways to teach from the heart, and seeing their optimistic work with youth is an uplifting experience. Interviews with teachers and leaders in the field of mindfulness research and education, including Dr. Dan Siegel and Vinny Ferraro, offer insights into the growing practice of mindfulness in education<\/span>.
