Il giovane Karl Marx. Il primo ritratto cinematografico di uno dei personaggi pi\u00f9 importanti della Storia, diretto da Raoul Peck, candidato all\u2019Oscar e vincitore di BAFTA e C\u00e9sar per \u201cI Am Not Your Negro\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

All\u2019et\u00e0 di 26 anni, Karl Marx si mette insieme alla moglie Jenny sulla strada dell\u2019esilio. Nel 1844 a Parigi conosce il giovane Friedrich Engels, figlio del proprietario di una fabbrica, che studiava gli inizi del proletariato inglese. Engels, una specie di dandy, d\u00e0 a Marx il pezzo mancante del puzzle che ricompone la sua nuova visione del mondo. Insieme, tra censura e raid della polizia, rivolte e sollevamenti politici, presiederanno alla nascita del movimento operaio, che fino a quel momento era per lo pi\u00f9 disorganizzato e improvvisato. Un movimento che, guidato, contro ogni aspettativa, da due giovani uomini brillanti, insolenti e perspicaci, diventer\u00e0 la pi\u00f9 totale trasformazione teoretica e politica del mondo dal Rinascimento.<\/span><\/p>\n

Una storia di grande passione politica, impegno e rivoluzione. <\/span>Ma anche una grande storia di amicizia e d\u2019amore.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 maggio 1818, nella tedesca Treviri nasce Karl Marx. <\/span>21 febbraio 1848, a Londra viene pubblicato, a firma di Marx ed Engels il Manifesto del Partito Comunista, documento che ha cambiato e segnato la storia mondiale.<\/span>
\n Nell\u2019anno del 200\u00b0 anniversario dalla nascita e nel 170\u00b0 anniversario della pubblicazione del Manifesto arriva in sala il film Il Giovane Karl Marx del regista Raoul Peck.<\/span><\/p>\n

Un personaggio affascinante e controverso, in un film che ne illumina il pensiero, l\u2019ardore, la passione politica.<\/span>
\n Siamo negli anni Quaranta del XIX Secolo. Il giovane Marx e l\u2019amico Friedrich Engels danno vita a un movimento capace di emancipare, anche oltre i confini europei, i lavoratori oppressi di tutto il mondo.<\/span>
\n Sono anni di fermento: in Germania viene fortemente repressa un\u2019opposizione intellettuale molto attiva, in Francia gli operai del Faubourg Saint-Antoine si sono messi in marcia. Anche in Inghilterra il popolo e\u2000 sceso in strada.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 26 anni Karl Marx porta la sua donna sulla strada dell\u2019esilio. A Parigi incontra Friedrich Engels, figlio di un grande industriale, che ha studiato le condizioni di lavoro del proletariato inglese. Questi due giovani dalla diversa estrazione sociale, ma entrambi brillanti, appassionati, provocatori e divertenti riusciranno a creare un movimento rivoluzionario unitario.<\/span><\/p>\n

A dare il volto a Marx \u00e8 August Diehl, gi\u00e0 in film hollywoodiani come \u201cBastardi senza gloria\u201d, \u201cSalt\u201d, e altri film di rilievo come \u201cIl falsario \u2013 Operazione Bernhard\u201d (Oscar Miglior Film Straniero 2008), \u201cTreno di notte per Lisbona\u201d. Friedrich Engels \u00e8 interpretato da Stefan Konarske, mentre i panni di Jenny Marx sono vestiti da Vicky Krieps, portata al successo dal recente \u201cIl filo nascosto\u201d di Paul Thomas Anderson, dove ha interpretato la musa del couturier inglese interpretato da Daniel Day Lewis.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mid-1800s, after decades of the scientific and economic march of the Industrial Revolution has created an age of both new prosperity and new problems, a 26-year-old writer, researcher and radical named Karl Marx embarks, with his wife Jenny, on the road to exile. In Paris in 1844 they meet young Friedrich Engels, the well-to-do son of a factory owner whose studies and research has exposed the poor wages and worse conditions of the new English working class who operate looms, printing presses and other engines of industry that enrich their owners while punishing laborers. The smooth and sophisticated–but equally revolutionary and radical–Engels brings his research, help and resources to provide Marx with the missing piece to the puzzle that composes his new vision of the world. Together, between censorship and police raids, riots and political upheavals, they will preside over the birth of the labor movement turning far-flung and unorganized idealists and dreamers into a united force with a common goal. The organizations they create and ideas they put forward will grow into the most complete philosophical and political transformation of the world since the Renaissance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marx and Engels meet cute in this intense, fervent film about the early development of communism from I Am Not Your Negro director Raoul Peck. It’s a sinewy and intensely focused, uncompromisingly cerebral period drama, co-written with Pascal Bonitzer, about the birth of communism in the mid-19th century. It gives you a real sense of what radical politics was about: talk. There is talk, talk and more talk. It should be dull, but it isn\u2019t. Somehow the spectacle of fiercely angry people talking about ideas becomes absorbing and even gripping.<\/span><\/p>\n
