Dagli incontri spontanei davanti alle chiese, ai raduni sulle montagne o nei villaggi, I Am the Blues vi condurr\u00e0 in un viaggio musicale e poetico attraverso la Louisiana e il Mississippi alla ricerca del vero senso di una delle forme musicali pi\u00f9 note e influenti di tutti i tempi.
\nNel film vengono mostrati i \u201cpoeti\u201d che hanno creato il Blues, o coloro che ne conservano la tradizione originale, molti dei quali continuano a suonare con passione e tecnica spettacolari ben oltre gli 80 anni. Lasciate dunque che Bobby Rush, Barbara Lynn, Henry Gray, Carol Fran, Little Freddie King, Lazy Lester, Bilbo Walker, Jimmy \u201cDuck\u201d Holmes, RL Boyce, LC Ulmer, Lil\u2019 Buck Sinegal e i loro amici risveglino quel Blues che \u00e8 annidato dentro tutti noi e attende solo di essere espresso.<\/span><\/p>\n

I AM THE BLUES takes the audience on a musical journey through the swamps of the Louisiana Bayou, the juke joints of the Mississippi Delta and Moonshine soaked BBQs in the North Mississippi Hill Country. Visiting the last original blues devils, many in their 80’s, still living in the deep south, working without management and touring the Chitlin’ Circuit. Let Bobby Rush, Barbara Lynn, Henry Gray, Carol Fran, Lazy Lester, Bilbo Walker, RL Boyce, Jimmy ‘Duck’ Holmes, Lil Buck Sinegal, LC Ulmer and their friends awaken the blues in all of us.
