ITA. Inno all\u2019emancipazione femminile, il film \u00e8 ambientato nell\u2019Algeria degli anni Novanta, dove la giovane Nedjma (soprannominata \u201cPapicha\u201d) studia francese all\u2019universit\u00e0 e sogna di diventare stilista, ma la sua vita \u00e8 sconvolta da un\u2019ondata di fondamentalismo religioso che precipita il paese nel caos. Determinata a non arrendersi al nuovo regime, Nedjma decide di organizzare con le compagne una sfilata dei suoi abiti, che diventer\u00e0 il simbolo di un\u2019indomita e drammatica battaglia per la libert\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019opera prima di Mounia Meddour, che ha vissuto in prima persona il decennio nero dell\u2019Algeria, \u00e8 tuttora bandita in patria per motivi mai chiariti. Nel cast straordinario di giovani attrici spicca la protagonista Lyna Khoudri, che ritroveremo nel film di Wes Anderson The French Dispatch<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
