Magnifiche sorti e progressive \u00e8 un film documentario che ha per protagonisti Renato Curcio e l&#8217;Ergastolo di Santo Stefano, una struttura panottica che sorge nell\u2019omonima isola dell\u2019arcipelago Ponziano, di fatto poco pi\u00f9 di uno scoglio in mezzo al mare.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Il Panottico, termine coniato dal giurista e filosofo inglese Jeremy Bentham, \u00e8 una parola composta da pan- che in greco significa \u201ctutto\u201d e optikon che significa \u201cvedere\u201d, sintetizza la \u201ccapacit\u00e0 di vedere tutto\u201d con un unico sguardo, ovvero un&#8217;architettura fisica e sociale di un potere invisibile.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Il carcere di Santo Stefano, prima struttura al mondo nella quale sia stata attuata questa idea (1795), \u00e8 quindi il luogo fisico nel quale \u00e8 ambientato il documentario e costituisce, insieme all\u2019isola sulla quale sorge, la metafora dalla quale si dipana l\u2019analisi che il protagonista, Renato Curcio, fa degli effetti della cosiddetta Rivoluzione Digitale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">L&#8217;avvento di internet e delle tecnologie connesse alla rete hanno determinato negli ultimi vent\u2019anni un cambiamento radicale della nostra vita. Su circa 7 miliardi di abitanti nel pianeta ci sono in circolazione 3,5 miliardi di smartphone e la previsione di mercato per il futuro \u00e8 che tra 3 anni potrebbero esserci tra 20 e 26 miliardi di oggetti smart connessi alla rete. Basta pensare che nel 2000 Facebook non esisteva per capire qual \u00e8 la portata e la velocit\u00e0 con cui questo cambiamento sta avvenendo e si \u00e8 radicato nella nostra societ\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">La narrazione intorno alla magnificenza degli effetti che le nuove tecnologie possono avere su di noi \u00e8 pervasiva: la tecnologia ci rende pi\u00f9 smart o, addirittura, ci fa ambire ad una nuova forma di superuomo tecnologico. Poco diffuso, invece, \u00e8 il pensiero critico intorno all&#8217;impatto che tutto ci\u00f2 ha effettivamente sulla natura stessa dell&#8217;umanit\u00e0 cos\u00ec come l&#8217;abbiamo conosciuta sinora.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Renato Curcio \u00e8 da anni impegnato nello studio delle nuove forme di potere che il capitalismo ha assunto grazie all\u2019avvento della rete e delle tecnologie digitali. Nei suoi saggi L&#8217;Impero Virtuale , L&#8217;Egemonia Digitale , La Societ\u00e0 Artificiale e da ultimo L\u2019Algoritmo Sovrano , illustra in modo efficace come la colonizzazione dell\u2019immaginario, sia collettivo che individuale, la trasformazione del processo produttivo nella totalit\u00e0 dell&#8217;universo lavorativo, l&#8217;invasione e il controllo di ogni singolo ambito della vita dell&#8217;individuo, stiano determinando una nuova forma di totalitarismo. Out of a world population of approximately 7 billion people, there are 3.5 billion smartphones and the market forecast for the future suggests that in 3 years there could be between 20 and 26 billion smart devices connected to the Internet. Alone the fact that Facebook did not exist in 2000 yet helps understanding the scope and speed, at which such a change is taking place and is rooting in our society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">The storytelling about the magnificence of the effects the new technologies may have on us is pervasive: Technology makes us smarter or even makes us long for a new type of technologic superman. Least popular is instead the critical thinking about the impact that all this actually has on the human nature itself as we have understood it until now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Renato Curcio has been long committed to studying the new forms of power that capitalism has taken on thanks to the arrival of Internet and the digital technologies. In his essays \u201cL&#8217;Impero Virtuale\u201d (The Virtual Empire), \u201cL&#8217;Egemonia Digitale\u201d (The Digital Hegemony), \u201cLa Societ\u00e0 Artificiale\u201d (The Artificial Society) and last \u201cL\u2019Algoritmo Sovrano\u201d (The Sovereign Algorithm), he explains very well how the colonization of both the collective and individual imaginary, the transformation of the productive process in the entire working framework, the invasion and control of every single aspect of an individual\u2019s life, are generating a new kind of totalitarianism. An artificial society that, far beyond the industrial society, the show society and liquid modernity, puts us in front of the captivating and insatiable seed of a technological totalitarianism that, compared to the ideological ones of the twentieth century, colonizes the fundamental place of freedom, the one related to human relationships.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<hr>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<table style=\"height: 18px;
