ITA. Amsterdam, 1988. Il detective Lucas \u00e8 incaricato di indagare sulla misteriosa morte della leggenda del jazz Chet Baker. Ripercorrendo gli ultimi giorni di Baker viene trascinato in un oscuro viaggio musicale. Mentre si addentra nella mente del famigerato trombettista, Lucas affronta contemporaneamente i propri demoni e le proprie ombre.
\nL\u2019attore Steve Wall (anche frontman della band The Walls and The Stunning) si \u00e8 calato perfettamente nel personaggio di Baker, con voce strascicata e la camminata incerta, mostrando sul volto i demoni del jazzista che si trascina nei vicoli decadenti di Amsterdam e che si trasforma sul palco dei fumosi jazz club. Steve Wall ha preso lezioni di tromba e lavorato sulla voce in modo che fosse pi\u00f9 nasale, cos\u00ec da riuscire anche a cantare due dei brani portanti della splendida colonna sonora: \u201cMy Foolish Heart\u201d e \u201cMy Funny Valentine\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Conoscevo gi\u00e0 Chet Baker, avevo alcuni suoi album, ma per preparami a questo ruolo ho cercato tutto ci\u00f2 che lo riguardava, libri, interviste e filmati di concerti. Ho amato questa ricerca. Non avevo mai suonato la tromba prima ma ho preso lezioni durante le riprese, ho imparato anche la diteggiatura e la respirazione, quindi sembra che stia davvero suonando. Volevamo che sembrasse assolutamente reale, in modo che anche un trombettista che guarda il film pensi che sto suonando. Ho passato molto tempo a lavorare sul suono della sua voce e sul suo accento. La voce di Chet \u00e8 molto diversa dalla mia sia nel canto che nel parlare, ha un suono nasale” Steve Wall.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
