Kawase porta il film in direzioni sorprendenti, ma la sua narrativa e il suo stile avvincente e naturalistico non perdono mai la concentrazione emotiva. La storia pu\u00f2 apparire familiare, ma la regista la interpreta con rara tenerezza, lirismo e mistero.
