La sua azienda di famiglia e\u0300 sul punto di essere acquisita da una potente e scorretta concorrente che monopolizza i semi e ingloba specie “genitrici” rare impedendole la creazione di nuovi ibridi. Vera, la sua fedele collaboratrice, le prova tutte per tentare di salvare la situazione e trova una soluzione rivolgendosi ai servizi sociali che si occupano di reinserimento assumendo tre dipendenti senza alcuna esperienza nel settore e con un passato difficile.
