Fatiha, Malika, Anissa e Sarah non sembrano avere molto in comune tranne che per la loro relazione speciale con lo “youyou “, nome coloniale francese per il grido acuto che le donne del Nord Africa e del Medio Oriente lanciano come espressione di intense emozioni. Ma le loro storie sul desiderio, la migrazione, la rivolta e l’essere\/desiderio si dipanano verso un’affermazione collettiva e poetica della solidariet\u00e0 femminile. <\/p>\n

ENG. Fatiha, Malika, Anissa and Sarah don’t seem to have much in common except for their specific relation to a shrill, loud cry, ‘the youyou’. But their stories about desire, migration, revolt and be\/longing resonate all the more with mutual feelings as the film unfolds towards a collective and poetic statement about female solidarity. The youyou is the French colonial name for the high pitched trill that women in Northern Africa and the Middle Eeast launch as an expression of joy or other intense emotions.<\/p>\n
