Uno sguardo intimo delle vite dei migranti sub-sahariani che risiedono tra le montagne nel nord del Marocco. Per la maggior parte di loro il sogno \u00e8 entrare in Europa attraverso la barriera iper-militarizzata di Melilla, un\u2019enclave spagnola nel continente africano. Il film documenta per la prima volta le condizioni di vita quotidiane dei migranti, intrappolati in un limbo, cos\u00ec come la violenza estrema e i costanti maltrattamenti che devono affrontare, sia dalle autorit\u00e0 marocchine, sia dalle spagnole. Perch\u00e9 donne e uomini sono pronti a rischiare tutto, inclusa la vita, pur di poter lasciare il proprio paese, la propria famiglia e gli amici, alla ricerca di una vita migliore? <\/span><\/p>\n

The Land Between offers an intimate insight into the hidden and desperate lives of Sub-Saharan African migrants living in the mountains of northern Morocco. For most, their dream is to enter Europe by jumping a highly-militarised barrier into Melilla, a Spanish enclave on the African continent. With unique and unprecedented access, this film documents the everyday life of these migrants trapped in limbo, as well as the extreme violence and constant mistreatment they face from both the Moroccan and Spanish authorities. It also explores many universal questions, including how and why people are prepared to risk everything, including their life, to leave their country, their family and friends, in search of a new and better life.<\/span> <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
