Immaginate un’isola. Dentro quest’isola c’\u00e8 un’altra isola. In quest’isola c’\u00e8 una citt\u00e0 con due nomi differenti. La citt\u00e0 \u00e8 attraversata da un fiume. Siamo in Irlanda del Nord e la citt\u00e0 \u00e8 Derry per i nazionalisti irlandesi, Londonderry per gli unionisti fedeli alla corona inglese, una citt\u00e0 devastata in passato dalla violenza settaria e ancora di fatto divisa in due. Al centro della citt\u00e1 scorre il fiume Foyle. Questa \u00e8 la sua autobiografia. Attraverso la sua narrazione, il Foyle ci invita a riflettere sui sogni di coloro che quel fiume hanno visto scorrere, su ci\u00f2 che sta oltre i suoi confini, sul concetto stesso di confine. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is its autobiography. It Is the story of a river able to reveal a sense of life imprisoned by history. Despite the end of the conflict, in Northern Ireland there is still a city with two different names: Derry, for nationalists, Londonderry for unionists. In the middle of the city, flows the river Foyle, which separates them and at the same time act as their border. What is a border? Are the dreams of those who lived before the conflict different from those dreamed today? And above all, what happened to our dreams?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
